Linnéa Sundfær Casserly is a Norwegian singer and recorder player dividing her time between Helsinki and Oslo. During her studies she specialised in baroque and contemporary music.
Linnéa has played solo recitals in Norway, England, Macedonia, Germany, and Malta and recently premiered the piece “C-RE-DO” by Swiss composer Jonas Marti for singing recorder, vocal ensemble, harmonium and piano written especially with Linnéa’s skills both as a recorder player and singer in mind. For the last 10 years she has worked closely with Norwegian composer Kristin Bolstad performing site specific works for voice. Some of the pieces can be heard on the CD Tomba Sonora.
As an ensemble singer she regularly performs with Helsinki Chamber Choir and has worked with The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir and other vocal ensembles in Norway, Finland as well as the Carice Singers in the UK. She is a popular soprano soloist in baroque and classical choir works such as Messiah, the Bach passions, Mozart’s Requiem etc. A project close to her heart is the collaboration project with Kompani Opera Mobile where three musicians perform Bach’s Christmas oratory using accordion, recorder, a drum and obviously singing. Linnéa is also a member of the Finnish Soloists’ Association where she was accepted both as a singer and recorder player.
In April 2020 Linnéa will perform at the MicroFest Prague.
